Recent and New Projects conducted on behalf of EEDA
EECC is currently using its unique business representative and support services to co-ordinate new innovative projects. It has worked with business, Government and other partners to establish fully co-ordinated and highly influential business networks whilst facilitating real and meaningful change for the enterprise culture in the East of England.
Other activities
As part of its other activities, EECC is directly addressing the need to create a new generation of business support services right across the region, growing an environment of healthy competition, creativity and innovation.
By bringing together business and our partners, we continue to:- Raise the competitiveness of the region through investment in R&D, skills and technology
- Improve the effectiveness of business support services
- Improve signposting to training and other support services for our businesses
- Create new opportunities for businesses to trade in domestic, European and international markets
- Further develop an entrepreneurial culture
- Increase the rate of growth in key and supporting sectors
- Foster business clusters with high growth potential
- Create opportunities for young entrepreneurs to develop and prosper within the commercial world
There is currently a major need for a coherent approach to engaging employers in key regional initiatives, such as skills and workforce development, entrepreneurship support and cluster development. The network, with its many initiatives with significant regional projects focused on these topics, addresses this need.
